    Asharqia Chamber launched the "Takamul" initiative, which aims to strengthen the partnership between the three business councils that operate within the scope of the chamber with 7 governorates (Khafji, Jubail, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, Al-Qaria, and Al-Nairiya) in cooperation with (the Municipal Council and the Local Council) In those provinces.

    Today, Wednesday, February 23, 2021, Khafji Governorate witnessed the launch of the first activities of the initiative "hypothetically" with the participation of His Excellency the Governor of Khafji Governorate Muhammad bin Sultan Al-Hazaa, who praised the initiative during the meeting and its importance in unifying efforts between the three governorate councils (local, municipal, and business), saying that each council is based In its full turn, the initiative is a new line of path that we will follow to develop the governorate and improve the quality of life and contribute - after God's grace - to strengthening the strength of our cohesion and cooperation to achieve the higher goals stipulated in the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

    Al-Hazaa added that the local council supports all efforts that achieve and sustain development, adding, "We see that such meetings and initiatives promote all services and projects, and seek to find solutions to difficulties and obstacles, and therefore the present is bright and the future is brighter."

    During the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that despite the restrictive situation imposed by the pandemic last year, the indicators confirmed the continuation of our national economy for its recovery and growth, supported by several factors, including that partnership, integration, and the concepts of cooperative work that were launched in the framework of it. Under its umbrella is Vision 2030, explaining that the “Takamol” initiative adopted by the Asharqia Chamber comes as part of the Chamber’s continuous efforts to enhance opportunities for cooperation between the private sector and all government agencies, believing that cooperation is a necessity imposed by economic work and imposed by current entitlements.

    For this part, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, Saadoun bin Khalid Al-Oteesh Al-Khalidi said that in light of the current entitlements, initiatives to stimulate cooperation and integration and re-formulate specific formulations to unify efforts take a high priority on the agenda of all government agencies and others, as they represent a strategic option that supports the achievement of sustainable economic growth and enhances the contributions of All parties in the march of the vision and its goals, stressing that cooperation and integration between us enable us all to discuss challenges and develop the best possible solutions to overcome them.​

    ​Al-Otayish pointed out that the “Takamol” initiative comes as a step forward from the Chamber’s side to push towards enhancing opportunities for integration, concerting efforts, and cooperation according to mechanisms to be agreed upon between the Chamber as a representative of the private sector and between the region’s various councils and branches of government agencies in it .. believing that integration is the tool Effective in weaving threads of close cooperation and exchange of information and experiences, to achieve excellence in performance and raise rates of ability to address challenges of economic concern, achieving integration leads to positive competitiveness in the Kingdom with high levels of performance and productivity

    For this part, the mayor of Al-Khafji, Muhammad bin Hizam Al-Hamidani, reviewed several projects that the municipality offered for investment, which constitute an added value for the governorate and contribute to its growth and development, and it varies between commercial, service, tourism, media, and other projects, and he listed about 17 projects that the municipality presented to the institutions, where 9 were awarded Some of them are projects, and several projects are still under study, including some chalets on the corniche of Khafji Governorate ... stressing that the goal is to improve the quality of life that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 emphasized.

    As for the head of the Asharqia Chamber Business Council in Khafji Governorate, Marzouq Al-Balawi, he stressed that the initiative is a good omen for the governorate and that the future is better. He thanked all concerned government agencies for supporting the reopening of the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Al-Khafji Governorate.​​

    After that, it was agreed to form a coordination working group from the representatives of the three councils, after the meeting witnessed lengthy discussions revolving around ways to activate the initiatives offered by the three councils to develop the governorate.​​
